Just like many people all over the world, as of January 1, 2015, I also vowed to live a more healthy lifestyle, get more exercise, lose some weight and generally feel better about myself. I have to say I procrastinated for about a month, which is the usual for me; however, on February 1, 2015 I did finally begin on my self-improvement quest.
One of the things I realised was blocking me perhaps from achieving my goals was my lack of having smart goals; relatively easily attainable and in incrememts small enough so as to allow a sense of achievement upon reaching them, and large enough to spur me on to reach even higher.
But what makes a goal smart? Maybe this acronym will help you in reaching whatever goals you set for yourself, however large or small.
S - Specific: Concrete, tangible steps.
M - Measureable: How you will know if you have completed this goal.
A - Achievable: Something you are capable of doing.
R - Realistic: Something you can do given everything else in youre life.
T - Time-limited.
